KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!

Thursday, February 13, 8pm
Central Machine Works

We’re excited to see you at our Central Machine Works this Thursday! This is our “preview show,” meaning that it’s a bit more casual than our formal performances on Saturday, Feb. 15. As such, we hope you’ll hoot and holler; we hope you’ll eat & drink; we hope you’ll get up and dance if the spirit moves you; and we hope, above all, you’ll have a great time! Here are some helpful details and reminders for Thursday’s show!

GETTING TO THE SHOW

WHEN: Thursday, February 13, 8pm

WHERE: Central Machine Works (4824 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78702) - This is a fully functional brewery, restaurant, and bar. Well-behaved children and dogs are welcome, though we encourage you to read the content disclaimer below!

PARKING & TRANSPORTATION: There is a large lot on the north side of the building (entrance off of 5th), however it does tend to fill up. There is street parking throughout the neighborhood (especially on 5th and on Cesar Chavez). OR, take the bus! A variety of bus lines have stops within two blocks of Central Machine. You can plan your route here: https://www.capmetro.org/plan/schedmap

WHAT TO EXPECT ONCE YOU’RE THERE

CONCERT LENGTH & SEATING: Our show will run from 8pm until about 9pm. We recommend coming early if you wish to save a seat. (Why not come earlier and make a dinner out of it and support Central Machine Works, who consistently supports arts organizations like ours?!)

THE VENUE & THE CROWD: We are expecting a LARGE crowd for this show—all seating is first-come, first-serve. There will be benches set up close to the stage for those who need to sit, as well as tables in the back for those who are planning to dine at the event. There will also be ample “standing room” for those who prefer to DANCE. We ask that able-bodied audience members help to accommodate older, disabled, pregnant, and/or others who are unable to stand through the performance.

CONCERT PROGRAM: Our concert program is offered digitally ONLY. We will have QR codes available for you to pull it up on site, and it will be posted on our website by on Thursday morning. Central Machine Works has public WIFI that is available for your use, too!

CONTENT WARNING: Our repertoire for this concert contains some adult themes and language. Additionally, our show will be hosted by local Drag Queen, Lady Grackle, who will offer her own short (mostly appropriate) performance! Children are welcome at their parent’s/guardian’s discretion.

We’d also like to warn audiences that this concert will be LOUD. Our partnering band, Goliath Was Bigfoot, has roots in metal and rock; they know how to turn it up!

AND ONE MORE THING…

Panoramic Voices is happy to present this performance FREE OF CHARGE. That, however, does not mean that the show is free to produce! If you are moved by something you hear on Thursday, we hope you will consider a gift (of any size) in lieu of a typical “ticket cost.” Your generosity allows us to continue offering exceptional musical experiences to singers in Austin free of the typical boundaries to participation (such as singer fees and auditions). If you would like to make a gift now, please do so by contributing to our Amplify Austin fundraiser: https://www.amplifyatx.org/organizations/panoramic-voices

We also encourage you to TIP YOUR QUEEN! Lady Grackle will be accepting cash and Venmo tips throughout the night—let’s all show her some love!

Thank you again for spending some time with us during this very busy season! If you have any questions, you can reach us at chorus_manager@panoramicvoices.org.
