Join Density512 and Panoramic Voices for a quirky-cool trip down memory lane. That’s So Nineties will feature a broad array of popular songs from 1990–1999 re-imagined for choir and chamber orchestra. Our first performance will even be set in the iconic ACC Highland Campus, formerly the Highland Mall! That’s right, here’s your chance to belt BRITTANY at the base of a mall escalator, all while accompanied by some of Austin’s finest instrumentalists. (A portion of Saturday’s proceeds will benefit ACC Highland’s Music Department!)

WE HAVE ALREADY REACHED OUT 140-SINGER LIMIT FOR PERFORMANCES. This limit is because of our performance venues and equipment, as well as our staff’s capacity. However, you can still register to attend “rehearsals only” (see below). If you are interested in performing, please indicate this in your registration; as singers drop from this project, we will extend invitations to those on the “rehearsals only” list first. You can also be added to the “performance track” waitlist—singers on this list will be contacted if others who registered to perform drop out prior to the start of rehearsals.

We have about 35 spots remaining for “rehearsal-only” singers—this is NOT on waitlist currently. Singers who choose this trackwill be welcome to all rehearsals preparing for our October concerts, but will not perform with us on Oct 4 & 5—this is an option for those who experience performance anxiety or for whom the rehearsal/performance schedule is too involved. (Please note that we cannot guarantee that there will be a space for “rehearsals-only” singers to join us at performances if they change their minds mid-project.)

Please look at the rehearsal schedule below before registering. As always, we are willing to be flexible with attendance where communication is clear. Please talk to Juli (juli@panoramicvoices.org) first if you have more than 2 predicted absences.

ALL ARE WELCOME. No auditions, no participation fees beyond purchasing music (a fee that we are happy to waive for those who require assistance!).

All rehearsals will be held at Northwest Hills United Methodist’s Sanctuary (7050 Village Center Drive, Austin, TX) unless otherwise noted.

  • REHEARSALS

    • Thursdays, 7-9pm: August 22, 29; September 5, 12, 19, 26; October 3

    • Saturdays, 9am-12pm: August 24; September 7, 21

    • Tuesdays, 7-9pm: October 1

    PERFORMANCES:

    • Friday, October 4 @ ACC Highland

    • Saturday, October 5 @ Regal Rooms

  • FEES: Panoramic Voices does not require you to pay to perform, but we do ask singers to purchase their own music. We also will ask you to buy a t-shirt to wear during some of our performances. If either of these presents a financial hardship, please let us know and we can make arrangements on a case-by-case basis. Sheet music and t-shirts can both be purchased through the singer resource page, which you will gain access to after registering.

  • REHEARSAL TRACKS: We will provide rehearsal tracks for practice at home! These will be available near the time we start rehearsals in August.

  • ATTENDANCE: We request that singers miss no more than 2 rehearsals for this project. Additional absences should be discussed with Juli prior to registering. We’re happy to be flexible as long as there is clear communication!

  • NEXT STEPS: Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email (within a few weeks) with access to the singer resource page, where you will have access to all information regarding this concert as we finalize it. The resource page for this project may not be active until the week rehearsals start. Please look for emails from Juli as we approach the first rehearsal on August 22.
