We at Panoramic Voices find ourselves at a crossroads during this period of COVID-19. At a time when arts organizations need financial help the most, how can we move forward? What can we offer?
Until we are able to safely gather in person again, Panoramic Voices plans to take all planned productions into the virtual realm. This will enable us to bring our music, programs, and events to audiences in Austin and around the world.
Beginning Summer 2020, we will be exploring opportunities, including:
Presenting Austin musical artists of the highest caliber in house concerts for small audiences
Collaborating with in-demand groups such as the exciting string quartet Invoke, art rock band Thor & Friends, and Dana Falconberry, among many others
Inaugurating our emerging composers competition and premiering innovative works by a diverse roster of composers
Rebroadcasting past events featuring some of our award-winning performances
Producing a re-conceptualized version of our annual Holiday Mixtape concert show
Creating a special socially distanced edition of Indie Orchestra Night (our 5th!), our critically acclaimed show that pairs local, national and international artists with Panoramic Voices chorus and orchestra
We want to continue sharing our music, keeping you, our audience, virtually close while we remain physically distant for as long as necessary.
Your help is needed now more than ever during these unprecedented and difficult times. The re-tooling necessary to present our programs virtually will be costly and will require increased technical expertise and equipment. As a charitable organization that depends on ticket sales to help cover production costs, we’ll be ever more reliant on the generosity of donors.
We are determined to continue to be here for our community, helping keep our staff and musicians employed, and continuing to support charitable causes that serve the musicians of Austin. We are committed to moving our mission forward, transforming our vision to include virtual benefit concerts, rebroadcasts of past performances, and online house concerts. In this new world, we are also looking for exciting ways to bring you our 5th Indie Orchestra Night, vocal seminars, and premiere new works.
Any amount you can give to Panoramic Voices will allow us to continue keeping the healing power of music alive at a time when our world needs it the most. Please consider a monthly donation, which quickly adds up to a reliable income stream for Panoramic Voices.
Thank you so much for your continued support and generosity.
